June 7th, 2010All of our horses did really well at the Delaware Riding Club Show. Miso Pretty and Mary Strang won the open harness class,(they did not show back) Such Spirit won the park pleasure stake and was reserve in the qualifier. She is owned by Kelley Norris and Steve showed her. She’s Extra Charming and Nichole Sedivec won the country pleasure championship, and Callaway’s Jess Luvon and Tracy Engel were reserve in both adult show pleasure classes. He is owned by Tracy’s mom, Jackie Hawkes. CH Broadway’s Mamma Mia! won the open 3-gaited class with Steve riding and I rode her back in the championship for the win. The weather was a little wet on Saturday and early Sunday, but the ring was near perfect Sunday afternoon. I judged the academy classes Sunday morning. They had a very good turnout. It’s nice to see so many people getting started in riding programs. It takes you back to where it all started.

Lisa’s Visit
May 25th, 2010This past weekend, Lisa May came up from Florida to practice ride her horse, Heir To The Moon. Friday night she went with Steve and I to meet the vet to breed Norma.(Steve was a frequent visitor of the airport last week!) She didn’t know we were going to make her work while she was here! Saturday she had a good ride, and then Steve and Lisa went to see our colt by The Sky King. Sunday morning, Lisa went with me to the gym for a personal kettlebell training session. She did really well, especially for her 1st time.(I think she maybe wanted to kill me the next day though!) She then had another good ride on her horse. Thank goodness she is a Lost watcher since it was the 4 1/2 hour series finale!! I think that early morning Monday flight came too soon!
