Happy New Year, etc!

January 9th, 2012

Steve and I just returned home from the UPHA convention in Nashville. It was a great time-the weather was perfect, great banquets Friday and Saturday, and lots to see. Jim Taylor received the Richard E. Lavery Horseman Of The Year award!!  He was totally surprised. Steve, Lonnie, Tim Roesink and Todd Graham did video taped congradulations(Lonnie was on the beach for his, of course!) that was played, along with a photo history of Jim in the horse business. Next year, the convention will be held in Las Vegas.

This Saturday the ASHAO awards banquet will be held in Fairlawn at the Hilton. Steve will have to wear a tie again!

Oh, and did I mention that the lead singer and drummer from the rock group Hinder were staying at our hotel?!(1 of my favorite bands) Awesome!!

Training Has Started

Steve brought our 2 yearlings, Remastered and The Voodoo King(aka Stevie and Voodoo) in to begin their training. So far, so good. Voodoo acts like”been there, done that”. Stevie is definately his mother’s (Norma Rae) son! Anyone that has been around Norma knows what I mean!  Both look promising, and we look forward to seeing their progress!
